Kansas School for the Deaf

Kansas Association of the Deaf
The specific purpose of the Association is for mutual assistance and encouragement of Deaf people and to secure moral, intellectual and social improvement of their education and vocational opportunities, to promote measures tending to better the condition and standing in society at large of Deaf persons; and for the strength and usefulness which union gives the Deaf persons of Kansas who have organized themselves into this Association to further the above purposes.


Gallaudet University Regional Center at JCCC
The Gallaudet University Regional Center at Johnson County Community College offers extension courses, training workshops and technical assistance to address the educational, transition, and professional development needs from birth through adulthood of deaf and hard of hearing people, their families and professionals who work with them.


Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing
The mission of Kansas Commission for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KCDHH) is to advocate for and facilitate equal access to quality, coordinated and comprehensive services that enhance the quality of life for Kansans who are deaf or hard of hearing.


National Association of the Deaf
The mission of the National Association of the Deaf is to preserve, protect and promote the civil, human and linguistic rights of all deaf Americans.


Kansas Instructors for the Deaf
Kansas Instructors for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (KID) is a statewide organization of professionals working with children and students, who are deaf and hard of hearing, in early intervention and educational programs.

The object of this organization is to improve the education of the deaf and hard of hearing students, to encourage socialization and opportunities for interchanging ideas among the personnel serving the deaf and hard of hearing students, and to promote awareness of educational goals and problems of deaf/hard of hearing students in Kansas.

CSD
CSD (also known as Communication Service for the Deaf, Inc.) is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing broad–based services, ensuring public accessibility and increasing public awareness of issues affecting deaf and hard of hearing individuals. Through global leadership and a continuum of quality communication services and human service programs, CSD provides the tools conducive to a positive and fully integrated life.

Deaf Cultural Centre - UK
The UK's first Deaf Cultural Centre will for the first time bring together diverse elements of the Deaf community and Deaf culture under one roof and become a space in which Deaf culture is celebrated, explored and represented through a series of community and leisure projects, arts, exhibitions and social events.

Deaf Culture Centre - Toronto
The DEAF CULTURE CENTRE opened at the historic culture, arts and entertainment Distillery District right in the heart of Old Town Toronto, A project of the Canadian Cultural Society of the Deaf, it features a museum, art gallery, gift shop, research and archives, state-of-the-art visually rich technology highlighting Deaf historical artifacts, literature, sports, ASL/LSQ interactive website / television and multimedia production studio.
