On June 30, 2007 history was made when the DCC and the KC Royals honored, for the first time, a Deaf ball player.

People from all around the country, Deaf & hearing alike, celebrated his legacy. 

It was an exciting and groundbreaking day for both major league sports and the Deaf community.
