Have you ever wanted to grow wings and soar in the sky? At the DCC you can do the next best thing -- you can learn to "Write in the Air!" American Sign Language or ASL is the main form of communication for the Deaf and many hard of hearing individuals. Literally, you "write in the air", using a language developed in the 1800's in France. Some people see ASL simply as a series of gestures, but nothing could be farther from the truth. ASL has specific grammar and syntax and each sign represents a specific word or though. Come to the Deaf Cultural Center and "Write in the Air!"
